Benefit Payments
Isle of Man Post Office provides cash payments on the following.
Pensions and Allowances
- Must be encashed within 12 weeks
- Evidence of identity may be required.
- The back of the voucher should be completed if a third party is collecting payment
Child Benefit
- Must be encashed within 12 weeks
- Evidence of identity may be required
- The back of the voucher should be completed if a third party is collecting payment
DHSS Benefit Open Cheques
- Crossed cheques cannot be encashed by Isle of Man Post Office
- Evidence of identity will be required. These benefits cannot be collected by a third party.
- Must be encashed within 1 month
Government Open Green Cheques
- Crossed cheques cannot be encashed by the Post Office
- Evidence of identity will be required. These benefits cannot be collected by a third party
NB. There is no reciprocal agreement for Child Benefit or Supplementary Benefits between the Isle of Man and the UK.
Customers cannot encash their UK pensions when they are visiting the Island and UK Child Benefit cannot be claimed on the Isle of Man either.
