Local Mail

All local mail is scheduled for next day delivery; with items that are posted in boxes with a scheduled 06.00 collection receiving delivery the same day.

Our quality of service standard for ‘on Island’ mail is targeted to be 98%

Mail For Delivery in UK/Europe/Rest of World

All this mail leaves the Island by air and enters the 1st class stream in the Royal Mail. For the UK, delivery is scheduled for the day after posting to most areas.

All mail for onward despatch to Europe and the Rest of the World also travels in the 1st class stream. Delivery time will be dependent on final destination – for further information please contact our Customer Services Team on 664664 or email customer.services@iompost.com

Mail Arriving from UK and Overseas

All 1st class and foreign mail arrives by air early in the morning and is delivered that day.

1st class from the UK – Delivered 1 day after posting.

From Europe and Rest of World – This mail joins the 1st class stream in the UK and is delivered along with the UK 1st class mail.

2nd class from the UK - This mail may arrive by air or by sea. It is despatched from the UK the day after posting. Mail arriving by sea is delivered the day after receipt on the Island, giving delivery 3 working days after posting. However the majority of 2nd class mail travels by air and is delivered along with the 1st class mail, giving delivery within 2 working days after posting.
